Shenango Valley Shuttle Service Policies
Fares From time to time with the rapid changing economy, it is necessary for fare increases to ensure a set quality of service. If and when an increase is deemed necessary, the public will be notified well in advance of said increase. For more information, please click on the "Fare Information" link above.
Schedule To better serve the communities our buses travel through, schedule adjustments will be made periodically. The changes will be announced well in advance of the anticipated start date to let our riders know of these changes.
Audio/Video Surveillance All our buses are equipped with audio and video surveillance. Riders should have no expectation of privacy while riding Shenango Valley Shuttle and Mercer County Community Transit buses.
Lost And Found Personal item(s) that are left behind on the buses will be collected and held for a short period of time in order for the owner to retrieve said item(s). These item(s) will be held at our secure bus garage located on Virginia Rd. In order to claim any lost items, please contact the SVSS offices at (724) 981-1561.
Requests For requested stops, as designated on the online and print version of the SVSS schedule, please call (724) 981-1561. Note that all requests must be made 30 minutes prior to the requested stop. Due to other factors beyond our control, ex. road construction, we can not assure the requested stop will be made.
Holidays Along with most government offices, the Shuttle Service does not run on select holidays. The days include, but are not limited to: Christmas Day, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving. Please call the SVSS Office at 724-981-1561 in advance if you anticipate riding on a holiday to ensure the service will be running.
Routes As travel patterns of our patrons change, the routes our buses travel may change as well. If/when these changes do occur, the public will be notified well in advance of said changes.
Food/Drink Food and/or drink will only be permitted on the buses as long as the items are facotry sealed in their original packaging. Under no circumstance will any open beverages and/or food items be permitted on the buses.
Incliment Weather During times of severe weather, the Shuttle Service reserves the right to suspend all service until conditions improve and conditions are deemed safe for travel.
